Terracotta Tile to Metal Tile Re-Roof
An old terracotta tile roof stripped to the battens and re-roofed in black pressed-metal tile.
What We Did
The terracotta tiles on this roof had done their time. With the scaffold up along the eaves, the crew took the tiles off and stripped the roof back to its battens.
New underlay went across the whole roof and new battens on top of it, then the pressed-metal tile went on, dressed in around the brick chimney and finished along every ridge.
Same roof shape, same chimney, a new roof that will see out many more Dunedin winters.
